The Twin Cities have seen a rise in violence in recent years that's disturbing, to say the least. Anything that happens in the metro area effects the whole state, so we in the Senate are paying close attention. Watch the video for my comments on the problem.
On Tuesday, we traveled with the Judiciary and Public Safety committee to Hibbing to discuss violence prevention policies from both sides. I presented a bill to restore our second amendment rights through constitutional carry.
Some of our top priorities include lowering taxes, improving public safety, and advocating for protection for the most vulnerable. Last session, on behalf of Minnesotans, we accomplished a lot in those areas and more. But, just as importantly, we put a stop to many ridiculous proposals from the Governor.
